Allen Almond Osgood of Danvers and West Newbury, Massachusetts passed away on October 23, 2025, at the age of 72.

He was born in Beverly, Massachusetts on August 6, 1953, and was one of three children of the late Almond Arnold Osgood and Eva Catherine Osgood (Clarizia). He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Martha Jean Osgood (Thibault).

He was predeceased by his father Almond A. Osgood, his mother Eva C. Osgood (Clarizia), his sister Linda A.Taylor (Osgood), brothers-in-law Norman P. Taylor and Richard A. Sacane, and nephew Christopher A. Jacques.

In 1976, Allen married the love of his life, Martha Jean Thibault, after being together since the ages of fifteen and sixteen. They went on to have two children and raised them in West Newbury: a daughter Kara Cecile Percival (Osgood) of West Newbury, and a son James Allen Osgood of Fremont, NH

He graduated from Danvers High School in Danvers, Massachusetts and went to Coin Electrical School in Boston where he obtained his Electrical License to work with Enpro Services. He also served as a Danvers auxiliary police officer and then eventually a Danvers reserve police officer for seven years. He later moved with his family to West Newbury where he served 26 years on The West Newbury Fire Department, and retired as a Lieutenant.

Allen was a dedicated member of his community. He served on the fire department not only as an officer but as “The Radio Man”. He was responsible for all the communications for the trucks and firefighters. He enjoyed repairing and tinkering with the trucks and the radios, and earned the name “Tink” at the department.

Allen leaves behind his siblings. His sisters, Arlene C. Sacane (Osgood), Grace M. Dunajski (Osgood) and brother Almond A. Osgood, Jr., a daughter-In-Law Sarah A. Osgood, and seven grandchildren: Gaberial J. Percival, Jesse J. Percival, James B. Osgood, Liam J. Osgood, Travis J. Osgood, Lily R. Osgood and Thomas C. Osgood. Allen loved and cherished his grandchildren, and he was always a very proud “Papa.”

He is also survived by many loving sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.

Allen and his wife Martha enjoyed going up to their home away from home in Greenville, Maine that they have had since their kids were young. That is where they loved to snowmobile, boat, and enjoy the outdoors with family and friends.

Allen was a devoted and caring Husband, Father, Papa, Brother, Uncle and true friend. He will be greatly missed by his wife, daughter, son, grandchildren, and the rest of his family and friends. Allen loved his family.

His family will receive relatives and friends on October 30, 2025, at Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 36 West Main Street, Merrimac, MA 01860, from 4-7 PM. His funeral will take place at St. Ann’s Church, 300 Main St., West Newbury, 01985, at 11 AM. Burial will follow immediately at the Merrimack Cemetery in West Newbury.
