Alvan Jay Seaman, 72, of Manchester, MA, died at his home surrounded by his family on April 30, 2025.

Al was born in Malden in 1952 to Robert and Elizabeth (Silber) Seaman. Al attended Malden Public Schools graduating from Malden High School in 1970. Al was an avid Boston sports fan, especially his beloved Red Sox. He loved Seinfeld and The Office and was often found quoting his favorite lines. He would watch and play along with Jeopardy to the point his family begged him to try out. Al loved living near the water and spent many summer nights on his deck with the warm ocean breeze. Above all, his greatest joys were his children and grandchildren who will keep his memory alive.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Joanne (Wadsworth); his son Daniel and his wife Kerry of Fitchburg, MA; his daughter Lauren Cusson and her husband Neil of Halifax, MA; his four beautiful grandchildren, Charlotte, Griffin, Max, and Miles, his brother-in-law John and his wife Susan Wadsworth of Methuen; his sister-in-law Janice Wadsworth of York, ME and cousins Dina, Lindsay and Kayla Frost and Teri Menter.
