Barbara L. (Bailey) Rogers, age 95, a longtime resident of Amesbury and Georgetown, passed peacefully in her sleep on April 9, 2026, in Peabody, Massachusetts.
Born on June 6, 1930, she was the daughter of Bertram and Eva M. (Leterneau) Bailey and the sister of Bert and Mildred, all of whom predeceased her.
Barbara will be remembered most for the love and devotion she gave to her family. She was an extraordinary grandmother whose warmth, patience, and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She cherished time spent with her family—whether enjoying days at the beach, visiting arcades, or simply making pancakes—always bringing smiles, comfort, and a sense of togetherness.
As a mother, Barbara was a steady and deeply supportive presence. She put her family first and gave of herself generously, offering encouragement, understanding, and care. Her home was a place of comfort and ease, where her children could simply be themselves and feel safe and loved.
Barbara was also a talented seamstress, dedicating many years to her craft with Lebaron & Bonnie. In her retirement, she continued to share her gifts by creating quilts for infants and children in need, reflecting her quiet generosity and compassion. She was a gifted crafter who took great joy in sharing her creations with those she loved.
In her later years, Barbara’s life became more peaceful, yet the relationships she held close remained meaningful and heartfelt. She is remembered with love by those who were part of her life and who offered companionship and care.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a small service at 5:30 p.m. at Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA.
Barbara’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
