Charles B. O'Neil, Jr.

Charles B. O’Neil, Jr. age 87, of Merrimac, died peacefully on October 12, 2025 at Lawrence General Hospital with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Barbara A. (Wood) O’Neil who passed away in 2018.

Born in Lawrence on April 4, 1938, he was the only child of the late Charles B. O’Neil, Sr. and Leda (Houle) O’Neil. He owned and operated Charlie and Sons Carpets.

In his spare time he was a vintage car enthusiast and loved his “76” Corvette, and he was also an avid Boston sports fan, especially the Celtics.

He is survived by his children, Steven C. O’Neil and wife Deborah, Robin L. O’Neil and wife Kristin O’Neil, and Patricia A. O’Neil and partner Joanne Pearson; his grandchildren, Timothy and partner Amanda Bien and Kristina and fiance Mark Pajzer; and great-granddaughter Aaliyah, along with extended family and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by two sons, Mark W. and Timothy B. O’Neil.

The family sincerely thanks the 4th floor staff at Lawrence General Hospital for their compassionate care.
