Colleen Joanne (Whiteley) Plumley, the daughter of Colin and Mary(Nagle) Whiteley, was born in Haverhill MA on Feb. 19th 1933, and passed away peacefully on Nov. 23, 2024 with her loving family present.

Colleen was predeceased by her sister Katherine Picard, and is survived by her devoted husband of 68 yrs. Gerald Leslie Plumley, (the son of Leslie W. Plumley and Estella C. (Hall) Plumley), her daughter Lisah Plumley, her son Christopher Plumley, her granddaughter Taylor Alise Macdonald, as well her only surviving sister Janice Sirois, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Colleen went to St. James High School in Haverhill MA,and attended Merrimac College with a major in Secretarial Science.

Colleen married Gerald Plumley in 1956 and enjoyed 68 yrs of Marriage residing in Newburyport, MA for many of those years.

She was a talented vocalist and was an accomplished artist, as well as a successful business woman.

She was Miss August Festival of Hampton Beach in 1955. Colleen found joy in her devotion to Christianity, her love for her family, her artwork and in the pets she adored. Colleen loved to laugh, to sing, and to gather in joy with family and friends.

Her career experiences include a position as executive secretary to the president of AVCO, working for the City of Newburyport in the employee retirement dept., she was a licensed Real Estate Broker for many years, and she created and owned Grams Attic in Kennebunkport ME.

Colleen Joanne Plumley is loved immeasurably by her family and friends. We treasure the memories we have been blessed to have had with her, as well as the bright light she shared with us all, and we bless her on her continued journey with God.

A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA 01913.
