Constance Louise Burzynski, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend, passed away on October 2, 2026.
Above all, she was a teacher. Known to many former students as Mrs. Fall, teaching was at the heart of who she was. She loved her students deeply and often saw in them more than they could see in themselves. She encouraged them to believe in their abilities and to strive for more than they thought possible.
Beyond the classroom, she was just as caring and generous in her everyday life. She had a way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and cared for, and was always willing to help, offer support, or simply be there when someone needed her.
Family was at the center of her heart. She shared a lifetime of memories with her husband, Mic Burzynski. She was a devoted mother to Stephanie Fall and Michelle Palowich, and proud of the families they built with Jeff Page and Joseph Palowich. Nothing brought her more joy than being Grandma to Caleb and Eli Palowich.
She appreciated life not for things, but for its simple pleasures: time with family and friends, a good book, a walk on the beach, a conversation with a neighbor, the comfort of home, and the countless small moments that make up a good life.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Connie’s life will be held on Saturday, October 17, at the Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport, MA 01950. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by a service from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Massachusetts Advocates for Children, reflecting her lifelong love of learning and belief in the potential of every child.
