Gloria C. (Pegus) Fusco, age 90, longtime resident of Haverhill, MA, passed peacefully at Port Rehab and Healthcare Center in Newburyport, on Monday, August 31, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Victor M. Fusco, who passed on May 8, 2022.
Born in Trinidad on June 11, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Hospedales and Theodosia Pegus. She relocated to New York City at 15 and graduated from Cathedral High in Manhattan and also studied at the New York Center for the Performing Arts. After meeting and marrying Victor, she moved to Massachusetts where she raised her four children in Haverhill. She was employed by the former Western Electric Company as an Assembly Technician. Gloria lived life to the fullest and made loving friends wherever she went. Always the life of the party, she enjoyed dancing with Victor or without, hot Florida weather, Mardi Gras, Ogunquit and Cape Cod, and travelling, whether abroad or down the road to Foxwoods.
The memories that have been treasured throughout her life, will always warm the hearts of those she loved so dearly, her four children, Victor Fusco and his deceased wife, Mary of Kingston, WA, Michelle (Fusco) Zysk and husband Dana of Williamsport, PA, Anthony Fusco and wife Gail of Amesbury , MA , and John Fusco of Seabrook, New Hampshire; her dearest grandchildren, Leia, Micah, Kalia, Victoria, Catherine Gloria, Ashley and Thomas Joseph, Daniel and Kadee Fusco, and Shauna and Bryan O'Keefe; great grandchildren, Conner, Ayden, Shelby, Callie, and Morgan; her sister Nella Hospedales of Venezuela, along with nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends near and far. In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Victor, she is also predeceased by her brother, Louis Pegus.
In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Gloria C. Fusco can be made to the American Heart Association.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. at Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 334 Main Street, Haverhill, MA, followed by prayers at the Funeral Home. The family will have a private burial at Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill, where Gloria will be laid to eternal rest beside her dearest husband, Victor.
