Helen “Ginger” (Corey) Beaton was born April 30, 1941, to Helen and Arthur Corey in Newburyport, MA. Ginger completed her education in the Newburyport school system and graduated with the Newburyport High School class of 1960, where she met her future husband, Ken. After graduation, Ginger and Ken purchased their first residence on Collins Street in Newburyport and welcomed three children into their family.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Cherished moments with her family and friends brought her great joy. Her gentle and caring spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Among her many hobbies were knitting, sewing, and assembling puzzles. Ginger loved tending to the garden with her daughter in Maine or simply relaxing by the fire. She also found pleasure in walking, whether along the beach or around her neighborhood.

Ginger and Ken spent many years traveling across all fifty states, as well as visiting England, Ireland, and various parts of Europe.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, Ken. Ginger is survived by her three children: Kenneth J. Beaton Jr. and his wife Laurel of Exeter, NH; Paula Pelletier and her husband Dennis of Kington, NH; and Michael Beaton of Shapleigh, ME. She also leaves behind five grandchildren—Taylor Beaton, Ryan Beaton, Alec Pelletier and his wife Danielle, Nicole Pelletier, and Willem Beaton—and one great-grandchild, Wyatt Croteau. Ginger is survived by her sisters Kathy Boothrood and Suzanne Gallagher, and was predeceased by her sister Joan Tindle and brother Richard Corey.

All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, Ginger would love you to donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of your choice. Arrangements were made by Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 green Street, Newburyport, MA 01950.
