Irvin R. Russell, Jr.

Irvin R. Russell, Jr, known to many as “Bob”, age 79, of Groveland, MA, passed unexpectedly at his home on Friday, April 17, 2026. He is survived by his devoted wife of fifty six years, Judith A. (Janoski) Russell.

Born in Haverhill, MA on October 21, 1946, he was the son of the late Irvin R. Russell, Sr. and the late Constance Dallen Brown and was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School.

Shortly after graduating from High School, Irvin enlisted in the United States Air Force on April 26, 1965 and served proudly until his honorable discharge on October 31, 1968 with the rank of Airman First Class.

After his Military Service and a few years of College he held various positions at Western Electric, Wyeth, and most recently as a production technician with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals until his retirement.

Irvin loved to travel, and was an enthusiastic photographer, with a camera he went everywhere. He loved keeping his yard looking great and took care of mowing and gardening.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Judith A. Russell; a brother, Michael Russell; sister-in Law Shirley & husband Maurice Morasse; niece, Christine & husband Thomas Battles, nephews; Michael & wife Joann Morasse, Daniel & wife Mary Morasse, Todd Morasse, Timothy Morasse, great nephew David & wife Dominique Morasse, and great niece Kylie Morasse, along with dear friends and neighbors.

A private Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at 2 P.M. at Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 334 Main Street, Haverhill, MA 01830. Donations in his memory can be made to American Cancer Society.
