Jammie A. (Shipley) Cardone

Jammie A. (Shipley) Cardone, age 54, of Amesbury, MA, passed Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington with her family at her side, after a valiant struggle with various medical conditions. She was the beloved wife of Michael A. Cardone.

The daughter of Marcella J. Shipley, Jammie was born on September 30, 1970 in Los Angeles, California. Moving to Massachusetts at age 8, Jammie grew up in Amesbury and graduated from Amesbury High School Class of 1988, going on to college, receiving a bachelors degree in psychology and was hoping to return to school again when she was better to get her Masters degree.

Jammie was the proud mother of two daughters, Meagan and Natalia who she raised with unconditional love. While always encouraging them in both their endeavors, and with every path they wanted to follow, Jammie was always quick to praise her girls for their accomplishments, while watching them both grow into adults.

Jammie’s greatest joys in life was becoming a grandmother of two beautiful baby girls, Maddy and Penny, and of course her puppies Lola, Duncan, Mario and 7 month old Luigi who grew up seeing Jammie almost everyday in the Nursing Rehab she had been these past few months. Jammie talked about her granddaughters every day with her face aglow whenever she did. Jammie was looking forward to spending time with all of them when she came home. She also enjoyed watching TV every day and loved to watch various shows including Hot in Cleveland, The Neighborhood, Young Sheldon, anything about aliens, and usually fell asleep to the Golden Girls every night.

She will truly be missed and leaves behind many treasured memories that will never be taken away from her loved ones. Jammie is survived by her mother, Marcella Shipley; husband, Michael Cardone; daughters, Meagan (Scott) Calderone and husband Eddie, and Natalia Cardone and significant other Dakota Harwood; dearest granddaughters, Madalyn Calderone and Penelope Harwood; siblings, Jennifer Munroe and husband Scott, and Gary Manock; aunt, Carol Ross and uncle, Donald Shipley of California; nieces and nephews Austin, Nicholas and Shauntel Munroe and Bailey Manock, along with extended families and many, many dear friends.
