John A. Iwanicki, age 68, longtime resident of Merrimac, passed suddenly on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Anna Jaques Hospital. He was the devoted husband of 43 years to his wife, Sally (Sam) A. Iwanicki, his soul mate and best friend.
Born in Salem, MA on March 20, 1957, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Belovics) Iwanicki and was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1975, then went to Salem State for a few years.
John started his own business, Iwanicki Silk Screen, in Beverly, MA, for 15 years, providing service above and beyond, and always ready to help with questions and issues.
John was a true dog lover. He always had dogs throughout his marriage. Currently, his 3 Basset Hounds, Louie, Stanley and Pearl, were his “best friends”. John was a passionate cook, avid gardener, and enjoyed spending time in the backyard at campfires with his neighbors.
He will forever be remembered by his wife, Sally along with many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his only sister, Tracy Farnsworth.
