Julie Anne Crognalo, age 62, of Amesbury, MA, passed away on November 29, 2023, at home. She was born in Norwood, MA, on September 14, 1961, the daughter of the late Ernest (Tony) Crognalo and the late Mary (Rogers) Crognalo. Julie graduated from Walpole High School and had a long career in the Hospitality Industry.
Julie had a passion for crafts and would create beautiful artworks with shells she found while walking on the beach. She was also an avid quilter and had a love for animals. Julie enjoyed visiting estate sales, cooking, baking, and most importantly, spending time with her family.
During the winter, Julie resided in Largo Florida, and the rest of the year, she lived in Amesbury. She had a special bond with her beloved dog Gracie and had cared for several other dogs and cats throughout the years.
Julie is survived by her son, Chris Crognalo of North Providence, RI; her brother, Edward “Ted†Crognalo and wife Karla of Walpole, MA; three sisters, Laura Crognalo and her husband Rich Hucksam of Amesbury, Diane Moran and husband Don of Clearwater, FL, Marianne Crognalo and husband Steven Brady of Marlborough, MA; a nephew, Tyler Crognalo-Torrez of Walpole, MA; three nieces, Cathy Ritchie of Valdosta, Georgia, Angela Crognalo-Torrez of Walpole, MA, and Samantha Ritchie of Valdosta, Georgia, and a great niece, Alaina Acree. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Susan Ritchie.
In memory of Julie, donations can be made to Rescue Inc, 6 Chestnut St., Box 5, Amesbury, MA 01913, https://www.rescueinc.dog/donate, an organization dedicated to helping dogs.
Julie will have a private burial at Maple Grove Cemetery, where she will be laid to eternal rest with her sister Susan Ritchie. Arrangements were made with Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA 01913.
