Loretta "Laura" Cazmay

Loretta “Laura” F. (Pazyra) Cazmay, passed away at the age of 94 in the early hours of Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 at Port Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Newburyport, Ma.

She was born on February 19,1932 in Chelsea, Massachusetts where she graduated from St.Rose High School. She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Bernice (Goscinska) Pazyra. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Richard D. Cazmay a WWII Navy veteran as well as her daughters Holly and Gail, and her siblings Cecilia, Josephine, Zigmund “Ziggy”, Bernard “Benny”, Helen, Dorothy and Geraldine.

She is survived by her daughter Jane Mahoney of Lynn, Ma. and her son Richard Cazmay of Merrimac, Ma alongside his wife Christine; her honorary son, Keith Oatman of Salem, NH. Also her brothers Tom of Wilmington, Ma and Charlie of Oakland, Me.

She also leaves six grandchildren - Nicholas and Jared, Shannon, Brianne, Joseph and Derek; as well as four great grandchildren, Alexandra, Brodie and Rowan and Hraithgar.

She leaves a wish for those left behind and that is to always love, respect and be kind to one another.

Visiting hours will be held at the Paul C. Rogers Funeral home at 36 West Main Street in Merrimac, MA on Saturday, April 25th from 12PM to 2PM. At the end of visiting hours there will be a short prayer service. The family invites all to gather at The New Old Oak at 74 E Main Street in Merrimac, Ma following services.

A burial service will be held at a later date at The Bourne National Cemetery in Bourne Mass. where her ashes will be interred with her husband Richard.

In lieu of flowers, she wishes donations in her memory be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Disabled American Veterans.
