In Loving Memory of Mark Boucher

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark, who left this world on July 20, 2026, at the age of 64. Mark was born on January 29, 1962, in Haverhill, Massachusetts, and lived a life rich in love, learning, and adventure. He was a beloved brother, friend, and community member whose warmth and generosity touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Mark was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Melvin R. and Marilyn E. Their memory was a guiding light in his life, and he now joins them in eternal rest. He is survived by his devoted siblings, brothers Neal and John, and his dear sister Brenda, who will forever hold him close in their hearts. He also leaves nephews Adam and Colby, nieces Lisa and Trisha and grand nephew Simon.

An alumnus of Whittier Regional Technical High School, Mark graduated in 1980 certified in machining and tooling, beginning a lifelong journey of craftsmanship and dedication. As a Licensed Journeyman Electrician, he embarked on a career that saw him mastering various trades. From his early days as a machinist at Braley and Walker Machinery, to his time as an electrician with Rice & Brouillard Electric, Mark’s career was marked by skill and commitment. Notably, he found great joy in leading Sanborn Farm and Museum, sharing his passion for history and agriculture. His career path also included stints at Lewis Builders and Owens Corning, with his semi-retirement spent contributing his talents to Mark Bunker Builders.

Mark was a proud member of the Freemasons, serving for 40 years and achieving the esteemed 32nd degree. His tenure as the Grandmaster in the ceremonial year 2000 was a highlight of his life. Additionally, his involvement with the NH 4H Club reflected his love for working with oxen and horses, a testament to his deep connection with animals and nature.

His personal interests were as diverse as they were inspiring. Mark was an avid skier, cyclist, and hiker—his adventurous spirit leading him to conquer all the 4,000-foot peaks in New Hampshire. He was a gifted carpenter, creating beautiful furniture and restoring antique cider mills and sleighs. His sleighs were a beloved feature in Haverhill’s Christmas parades, delighting countless families.

Mark’s love for animals was evident in the cherished companionship of his first dog, Sampson, and his beloved border collie, Zorro. Zorro, known for his intelligence and loyalty, was a constant companion, sharing in Mark’s many adventures.

Mark’s unwavering willingness to help others, his kindness, and his enthusiasm for teaching and sharing his skills made a lasting impact on those around him. His inability to say “no” to anyone in need was a hallmark of his generous spirit.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in memory of Mark’s giving nature.

As we remember Mark, let us celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and an enduring legacy of kindness. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love.

The calling hours will be held at Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 334 Main Street, Haverhill, MA 01830 on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026, from 5 PM to 8 PM.
