Mark A. Cote

[Amesbury, MA] — Mark Cote, age 66, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, August 10 in Amesbury, MA, where he was born, raised, and spent his life.

Mark was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1959, to Norma and Francis Cote. He was a graduate of Whittier Tech, Class of 1978, in the plumbing and heating trade. Mark went on to help establish the family business, Cote Plumbing & Heating, alongside his father. He spent his career continuing to grow its legacy with his brother, brother-in-law, and nephew. He married Dollie (Shirley) Erhard on September 8, 1984 in Newburyport.

An avid New England sports fan, Mark spent his free time watching and attending games, discovering the best local breweries, and taking his annual trip to Isla Mujeres, his favorite island paradise. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, generous heart, and willingness to help others.

Mark is survived by his wife, Dollie; son, Alexander; mother, Norma; siblings Raymond (Lynn), Deann (Dave), Scott (Laureen), and Cheryl (Rick), many adorable nieces and nephews, and great nieces, great nephew, and beloved dog, Rita. He is predeceased by his father, Francis, and brother, Russell.

Instead of a formal service, a small family gathering will be held in celebration of his life.
