In Loving Memory of Marlene Eleanor (Moisson) Kelley

June 20, 1943 – August 22, 2025

Marlene Eleanor (Moisson) Kelley, a woman whose life radiated love, warmth, and joy, passed away peacefully at her home on August 22, 2025. She was 82 years old and was held in the arms and hearts of her devoted family as she took her final rest after a hard-fought battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Born in Boston on June 20, 1943, Marlene grew up in Chelsea and Winthrop, where she graduated Winthrop High School before attending the School of the Museum of Fine Arts to study interior decorating. With her creativity and keen eye for design, Marlene went on to become a very successful salesperson, utilizing her interior design skills to help countless people create spaces they loved. Her artistic gifts touched many lives, whether through her professional work, her love of arts and crafts, or simply in the way she made every space feel warm and welcoming.

Marlene’s life was defined by her devotion to family and her zest for fun. She raised her family in Holliston before later settling in Newbury, where she and her beloved husband, Eugene J. Kelley Jr., built a life together over their 62 beautiful years of marriage. Marlene found endless joy in the simple pleasures: the music that set her feet dancing, the beauty of birds outside her window, the laughter of her children and grandchildren, and every cherished summer at her “happy place” on Great East Lake in Acton, Maine. There, surrounded by family, she was truly at her brightest — watching her grandchildren swim, laugh, paint rocks and create memories that will live on forever.

She was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Rita Moisson; her brothers, Philip and Michael; and her sisters, Gail and Diane.

Marlene leaves behind the love of her life, her husband Eugene; her children, John Kelley and his wife Stacy of Salisbury, Susan Moran and her husband Austin of Newbury, and Diane Frithsen and her husband Rick of Rowley; her cherished grandchildren, Kayla Kelley, Shannon Kelley, Jessica Colpitts, Bridget Moran, Ava Moran-Atherton, Kelley and Jack Frithsen; and her adored great-grandchildren, Robbie Merrill, Nola, Grady, and Dacey Hulbert, with another little one, Baby Atherton, arriving later this year. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Kathy Vincent and her husband David of Weymouth and Cheryl Morrione and her husband Bill Hill of Port Charlotte, Florida, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews who will remember her with love.

Marlene will be remembered for her kind heart, her laughter, her love of music and dance, and above all, her unwavering devotion to her family. She taught those around her that life is meant to be embraced with joy, creativity, and love. Her spirit will live on in every song sung, every dance shared, and every moment of laughter among the family she treasured.

Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace, her beautiful light forever shining in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
