Michael A. McCormack, age 67, of Nottingham, NH, passed on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Brigham & Womens Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Lillian (Irizarry) McCormack, who was his lifetime soul mate and forever friend.
Born in Everett, MA on November 6, 1958, he was the son of the late Douglas McCormack and the late Eva (Dimassino) McCormack.
Michael had worked as a planner for many years at General Electric.
He had a great sense of humor, was the life of the party, and could always put a smile on peoples faces. He was very supporting, positive, and generous. He loved to play pickle ball, kayaking, fishing, hiking, loved Batman, puzzles, gardening, could fix anything, but above all else, he always spent time with his grandchildren, whom he loved so dearly. He leaves behind his dog Lucy, and was predeceased by his three dogs, Mindy, Buddy and Buster.
In addition to his greatest love, his wife Lillian, he is also survived by his son, Michael A. McCormack, Jr. and wife Becky of Dover, NH; a daughter, Melanie Hitchckock and husband Jeffrey of Kingston, NH; two brothers, Douglas McCormack and wife Christine of Campton, NH and Dennis McCormack of Malden, MA; five sisters, Maryrose Loyd and husband Danny of Everett, MA, Eva Davis and husband Ron of Louden, NH, Patty Griffin of Lynn, MA, Annie Banks and husband Rick of Saco, ME, Lisa Mcintosh and husband Don of Wenham, MA; his grandchildren, Jake & Zach McCormack of Dover, NH and Kylee & Carter Hitchcock of Kingston, NH, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph McCormack and wife Kathy McCormack of Everett, MA.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA. Funeral services will be private per request of the family.
