Peter Francis Pasquale, age 79, of Groveland, MA, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 22, at home. He is survived by his wife of nearly 44 years, Jeannette C. (Martineau) Pasquale. They were married at St. Anthony of Padua Church in New Bedford, MA, on October 9, 1982. Both Peter and Jeannette were lifelong Catholics who lived their faith.

Peter was born in Portland, ME, on October 11, 1946. He was the son of the late Anthony James Pasquale and the late Carmella (Morelli) Pasquale.

Peter grew up in Haverhill, MA, where he enjoyed sports, especially playing baseball. His position was catcher. He graduated from Haverhill High School and Wentworth Institute in Boston. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy Construction Battalion (CBs), and served four years, including two tours of duty in Viet Nam, and one tour of duty in Guam.

After he was Honorably Discharged from the Navy, Peter worked 27 years for the Tyler Construction Company, a family-owned business in Haverhill, MA. The company specialized in the construction, remodeling, and renovating of gas/service stations. The company’s clients included large oil companies as well as privately-owned service stations.

Subsequently, Peter worked as an Industrial Specialist in the office of Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) located at Raytheon Company in Andover, MA. He retired in December 2012.

Peter enjoyed attending occasional Red Sox games with his wife Jeannette who is a Red Sox fan. Peter was a New York Yankees fan. For numerous years they also made an annual trip to Foxboro, MA, to attend a New England Patriots game. They were both Patriots fans.

Peter also enjoyed taking an annual vacation trip with his wife, and filled numerous albums with pictures of their adventures. Over the years, besides multiple trips to Florida, Hawaii, and Canada, they visited Great Britain, Ireland, Iceland, France, Italy, India, Hong Kong, and Viet Nam.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brothers, Michael and Anthony, and sister-in-law Heidi of Haverhill; and his sister-in-law Jeanne Martineau of Fall River, MA. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Madeleine (Martineau) Tavares of North Dartmouth, MA. He is also survived by Dana Pasquale, and his nephews Andrew Pasquale and his family of Springfield, MA; Matthew Pasquale and his family of Holyoke, MA; and Michael Tavares and his family of Swansea, MA; and his niece Jacqueline (Tavares) Tellier and her family of Cumberland, RI; and close family friend John Paquette of Waterville, CT. He leaves many local friends and acquaintances. He was a long-time member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the American Legion.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to American Heart Association, Wounded Warrior Project, or the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).

Visiting hours will be held at Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 334 Main Street, Haverhill, MA 01830, on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Church of St. Gabriel Parish, 114 Lincoln Avenue, Haverhill, MA and there will be a Graveside service on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 12:30 P.M. at the Calvary Cemetery, 1461 Boulevard, South Portland, ME, where Peter will be laid to eternal rest with his parents.
