Raymond Norman Hackett

Raymond N. Hackett, age 85, of Groveland, MA, passed early Thursday morning, December 5, 2024, at Penacook Place Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of 67 years, to his wife Donna M. (Marchand) Hackett. 

Born in Haverhill, MA on November 17, 1939, he was the son of the late John Hackett and Marion (Maddocks) Hackett.

 For many years, Raymond had worked as a truck driver for Starensier, Inc. of Byfield, a textile manufacturing company. 

In his spare time, he loved wordsearch, was a collector of coins, stamps, and paperweights, liked money,and was a jack of all trades. What he loved the most was time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and his great-granddaughter.

 He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Donna M. Hackett; son, Raymond N. Hackett, Jr of Plaistow, NH; two daughters, Susan Perino and husband Herbert of Groveland, MA, and Cheryl Hartshorn and husband Douglas of Kingston, NH; a brother, Robert Hackett and wife Ann of the Ward Hill section of Haverhill, MA; three grandchildren, Thomas Perino of Groveland, MA, Sarah Goldoni and husband Daniel of Haverhill, MA, and Steven Perino and significant other Fatime Mehmeti of Orlando, FL; a great-granddaughter, Laila Goldoni of Haverhill, MA, along with extended family and many dear friends. He is predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Hackett and his wife Eleanor; three sisters, Gertrude Piccirillo and husband Niblo, Nancy White and husband Walter, and Muriel Reed and her husband Roy; and a grandson, Adam Hartshorn.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 11 A.M. at the Plaistow Cemetery on Elm Street, Plaistow, NH, where he will be laid to eternal rest. Arrangements were made by Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA 01913.
