Rita M. Bourgeois

Rita M. Bourgeis, age 91, lifetime resident of Amesbury, passed peacefully at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

Born in Amesbury, October 18, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Arthur O. and Marie (Roy) Bourgeois and was a graduate of Amesbury High School,  Class of 1952.

Rita was a credit manager, having worked many years at the Sears and Roebuck Department Store.

She leaves behind her brother, Arthur Bourgeois of Laconia, NH and was predeceased by her two brothers, Norman Bourgeois and Roger Bourgeois, and her sister, Aline Curry.

Funeral Services for Rita Bourgeois will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 11 A.M. at Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA followed by a Graveside Service at St. Joseph Cemetery, Amesbury, where Rita will be laid to eternal rest on top of her Mother’s grave.
