Ross Leonard Lacerda, 33, of Amesbury, MA, passed away in the arms of his loving wife, on August 4th, 2026 due to complications from Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Born on November 18, 1992, in Exeter, NH to Eileen and Scott Lacerda, Ross grew up in Amesbury and attended Amesury Schools. Ross was a graduate of UMass Lowell and a Sous Chef at the Park Lunch. His work was a reflection of who he was, dependable, committed, and willing to give of himself for others.

Ross will be remembered forever by his soul mate, best friend and wife Megan Lacerda (McGrath), their children, Gavin, Phoebe and Cleo, along with his favorite dog Jack, who were the center of his world and reason to keep fighting during his battle with AMI, over the past year. Ross also leaves behind his mother, Eileen Lacerda, his loving grandmother, Jean Whitney, in-laws Jennifer and Joseph Gately, niece Kenzie Gately, cousin Keith Lacerda,, best friends Emilio Espinal and Matt Salvatore along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, cherished friends and his Park Lunch Family. Ross was predeceased by his father, Leonard Scott Lacerda.

Ross’s passing leaves a deep sadness for all who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family, quick-witted sarcasm, loyalty and friendship he offered so freely.

We would like to give a special thank you to the team who became family to Ross during this challenging time on North 8 at Tufts Medical Center, especially Sue and Declan.

Services will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026 from 1- 4 p.m. at Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesubry, MA. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Elks Lodge in Newburyport, MA at 25 Low Street, from 5 - 8 p.m. All are welcome.
