Through the club he was involved in many events in Newburyport over the years, specifically Yankee Homecoming and the Road Race. When his children were growing up, he was always involved in their activities and was a booster helping run the concession stand during football games. Bill was a man of faith and a member of the Immaculate Conception Holy Redeemer Parish where he served as an usher and helped with many church functions over the years. He loved nature, the mountains, reading about the Appalachian Trail, and loved good food and cooking. Above all else, Bill loved his family, especially his two granddaughters.
